Cusco Market

One of the main activities you can do during your visit to Cusco is to visit and get to know its main markets. These markets are divided into craft markets and markets of basic necessities.

The main markets are:

San Pedro Market

The central market of San Pedro is one of the main markets of Cusco located a few blocks from the main square of Cusco, when you enter inside you will find from staple foods such as: meats, breads, cheeses, cereals, fruits, a food area with traditional dishes of Cusco and fruit juices located in the same market and if you wonder what else you can find apart from that you can find a variety of handicrafts made of alpaca, crafts in general that you can buy to take a souvenir of your trip to Cusco.
The San Pedro market is open to the general public from Monday to Saturday from 06:30 am to 06:30 pm, on Sundays there is only attention until noon.

Cusco Handicraft Center

The Cusco Craft Center is a place of exhibition and sales of handicrafts in general, a large and safe place where you can choose the crafts of your choice in the more than 350 stands, where you will find from the smallest in crafts such as: jewelry in silver and gold, socks, hats, bags, sweaters, jackets, polo shirts, paintings in gold leaf Cusco, ceramics, ponchos and other crafts at fair prices from all over Cusco. The handicraft center is located on Avenida Tullumuyu in front of the Paccha (water pool) or if you are in the main square is to walk along the Avenida el Sol in the last block until you reach the Paccha (15 min).

Huancaro Market

The Huancaro market is located in the district of Santiago. It is a market where organic products are concentrated and are sold in the market offering its customers products from coffee, cheese, natural honey, dairy products among others. A particularity of this market are the Saturdays where the producers of the Andean communities and provinces make their arrival and sell their products in the market of producers of the fair of Huancaro where they offer fresh products and at economic prices for all the public in general in an area of more than 500 exhibitors.
The market is open to the general public from 06:00 am to 05:00 pm from Monday to Saturday.

San Blas Market

The San Blas market is located in one of the oldest and most traditional neighborhoods of Cusco where every Saturday is installed in the main square in front of the church of San Blas. On this day an open air market is set up where the best textiles, handicrafts, jewelry and contemporary clothing are exhibited.

The market of San Blas is located a few blocks from the main square for it you will have to go down the street triumph continuing along the street Hatunrumiyoc and climb the slope of San Blas and then reach the square of San Blas where you can see the traditional market with unique hours of operation ranging from 06:00 am to 05:00 pm.

Pisac Market

The Pisac market is one of the most famous markets in the Cusco region and is located 1 hour from the city of Cusco in a very traditional and picturesque town.
Pisac and its market concentrate the largest number of tourists on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays where you can see the sale of agricultural products of the area and textiles of the Andean communities that make their arrival to the Pisac market to sell their handmade crafts from carpets, Andean ceramics, textiles made of alpaca wool, Andean instruments and different handicrafts that can be purchased at low prices.
The opening hours are from 07:00 am to 04:00 pm.
There is public transportation that departs from Cusco and costs 10 soles one way with a frequency of 30 minutes departure from the terminals.
