Itinerary summary

DAY 1: AREQUIPA

• The day begins with a welcome in the city of Arequipa with the pick up from the airport to your hotel in the city of Arequipa.
• This day will be a day to acclimatize to the altitude of Arequipa (2335 masl).

DAY 2: COLCA VALLEY

• The tour starts at 03:00 hrs where we will pick you up from your hotel and then we will go by tourist bus to Chivay.
• After that we will have a delicious breakfast in Yanque and then we will go to the Cruz del Condor viewpoint.
• In this viewpoint is the nesting place of the Andean condor, which reach up to 3 meters with their wings outstretched. The ideal place to see the flight of the condors, an unprecedented and unique spectacle.
• We will depart from the viewpoint in the bus to Choquetico, Maca and Antahuilpe where the viewpoints of the Colca Valley where we can see pre-Inca terraces used for agricultural activity by the inhabitants of the area.
• After being in the viewpoints of the Colca Valley we will go to make a stop at the hot springs of Chacapi where we can relax the body for a period of 1 hour, then return to Chivay where we will have lunch in a restaurant and after a well deserved lunch we will have stops at the viewpoint of the Volcanoes and a last stop at the national reserve Pampa Cañahuasi where we will observe vicuñas and alpacas in a protected area to finally return to the city of Arequipa at 18:00 hrs.

DAY 3: CUSCO

• Pick up from the Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport (Cusco) to your hotel.
• This day you will have the opportunity to acclimatize to the climate of Cusco and you can also perform activities such as visiting the craft centers, streets of Cusco, Qosqo Native Art Center with presentations of dances of Peru and Cusco (included in your tourist ticket) and visit the more than 10 museums that the city of Cusco has among them include: Inka Museum, Machupicchu Museum Casa Concha, Casa Garcilaso, Museum of religious art among others.

DAY 4: CITY TOUR CUSCO

• Start of the City Tour Cusco (09:00 hrs. or 13:00 hrs.) for this we will pick you up from your hotel.
• Guided visit to the archaeological sites that includes tour: Cusco Cathedral, Qoricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay.
• We finish the City Tour Cusco in the city of Cusco.

DAY 5: SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS MARAS MORAY

• Beginning of the Sacred Valley of the Incas tour from 6:30 am for this we will pick you up from your hotel.
• The tour begins with a visit to Chinchero an archaeological site built by the Inca Tupac Yupanqui and assigned as his palace which consists of terraces and religious centers.
• Then we will go to Moray, a natural depression formed by concentric terraces.

DAY 6: MACHUPICCHU

• Pick up from your hotel in Cusco from 04:30 am to the train station.

• At the train station we will take the bus transfer service to the next station where we will take the train to Machupicchu (Aguas Calientes).
• In the town of Aguas Calientes we will take the bus that will take us to the entrance gate to Machupicchu.
• Our guide will be waiting for us at the entrance to Machupicchu where we will begin the guided tour for a period of approximately 2 hours.
• After the experience in Machupicchu we will board the bus to Aguas Calientes, then take the train back to Ollantaytambo where we will transfer by bus to Cusco.
• Upon arrival in Cusco, we will pick you up from the train station to take you to your hotel.
• This is the end of the Machupicchu tour.

DAY 7: MOUNTAIN OF 7 COLORS VININCUNCA

• The tour starts very early with the pick up from your hotel at 4:30 am.
• The tour starts from the city of Cusco to the district of Cusipata in a 2 hour trip.
• After that we will have a buffet breakfast in a restaurant in the same district.
• We will leave Cusipata in the direction of Phulawasipata, where we will hike uphill for about 2 hours.

AREQUIPA, CUSCO 8 DAYS / 7 NIGHTS

It includes the tourist destinations of the city of Arequipa Colca Valley and Cusco City Tour Cusco, Sacred Valley of the Incas Maras Moray, Machupicchu and 7 Colors Mountain Vinincunca having as first point of visit to the Colca Valley in the Arequipa region (2335 masl) known for having one of the deepest canyons in the world and where we will have the privilege to observe one of the largest birds in the world to his majesty the Condor in its natural habitat. On the fourth day you will have the City Tour Cusco (3390 meters above sea level) in a tour of the Cathedral of Cusco, followed by the most important temple of the Inca empire "the Qoricancha" (temple of the sun) and the visit to the most important Inca archaeological sites of Cusco as Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay.

DAY 3: CUSCO

• The day begins with a welcome at the Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport (Cusco) to drive you to your hotel in the city of Cusco.
• Prior to the tour we will give you all the information of your 6 day tour giving you the tourist tickets, bus and train tickets necessary for the execution of the tours and clear any doubts you may have about the realization of the tours.
• This day you will have the opportunity to acclimatize to the climate of Cusco and you can also perform activities such as visiting the craft centers, streets of Cusco, Qosqo Native Art Center with presentations of dances of Peru and Cusco (included in your tourist ticket) and visit the more than 10 museums that the city of Cusco has among them are: Inka Museum, Machupicchu Museum Casa Concha, Casa Garcilaso, Religious Art Museum, Pre-Columbian Art Museum, Koricancha Site Museum, Museum of the Monastery of Santa Catalina, Museum and Catacombs of the Convent of San Francisco among others.

DAY 4: CITY TOUR CUSCO

• This magnificent day begins with the City Tour Cusco (09:00 hrs. or 13:00 hrs.) previous coordination with you. Then you will be transferred from your hotel to the starting point of the City Tour Cusco.
• The first point of visit will start from the main square of Cusco, where we will have a guided tour from the ancient palace of the Inca Viracocha called Sunturwasi on which stands the Cathedral of Cusco which has a Renaissance style and a plateresque style inside the ships, here are also samples of religious works of colonial art and the great Cusco school.
• Then we will go to the Qoricancha or also called the Temple of the Sun, built in its oldest parts with green diorite, red andesite and gray andesite in its walls built by Pachacutec. An enclosure where samples of the Andean cosmovision of the Incas, Inca architecture, temple to the main deities such as the sun, the moon, stars and canvases of the Cusco school are exhibited, where today is the temple of Santo Domingo of the Dominican order.

• Our next point of visit will continue with Pucapucara (8km) or red fortress, an archaeological site composed of terraces, walls and staircases where the red color predominates in its constructions that served as an administrative and military center before the entrance to the city of Cusco.
• The last place to visit will be Tambomachay (8 km) or rest of the Inca nobility, characterized by water fountains, trapezoidal windows. A place dedicated to the cult of water, the element of life and that shows a system of scenographic architecture in its condition of having subway water sources where purification rituals were performed.
• The tour ends with the return to Cusco.

DAY 5: SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS MARAS MORAY

• We start the day with the transfer from your hotel at 6:30 am, then we will start the tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
• The tour starts in the city of Cusco to go to Chinchero (3700 masl) an archaeological site built by the Inca Tupac Yupanqui and assigned as his royal palace, composed of shrines, urban centers made up of residential and ceremonial rooms of noble class, and temples built on top of a hill surrounded by terraces or agricultural terraces in a moderately cold area where they grew tubers and corn.
• Then we will go to Moray (3500 masl) a place of beautiful and sophisticated Inca laboratories that was designed by the Incas where they took advantage of the natural depression where you can see four buildings, ceremonial fountains and concentric terraces where they developed varieties of products to different microclimates.
• The tour continues with a visit to the salt mines of Maras (3000 meters above sea level) where we will see more than 4000 salt pools whose flows are conducted to thousands of ponds of little depth and long that had use in Inca purification rituals associated with the summer solstice.
• After a tour full of history we will head to a tourist restaurant in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas to recharge our batteries and continue with the tour.

DAY 6: MACHUPICCHU

• The day starts with the transfer from your hotel to the train station in Cusco at 04:30 am. At the train station we will take the bus transfer service to the next station where we will take the train to Machupicchu (Aguas Calientes) *The schedule may vary depending on the availability of trains.
• After you are on the train you will have the best views of the entire Sacred Valley of the Incas and its surroundings in a luxury train ride for tourists and thus enjoy the entire journey in the tour you will see the 2 starting points of the traditional Inca Trail at kilometer 82 where the 4-day trek begins and the short Inca Trail at kilometer 104 where the 2-day trek begins both treks culminate in the citadel of Machupicchu. DAY 7: MOUNTAIN OF 7 COLORS VININCUNCA

• The tour to the Vinincunca Mountain of Colors starts very early in the morning with the pick up from your hotel at 04:30 am.
• The tour starts from the city of Cusco to our first stop in the district of Cusipata (3300 meters above sea level) in a 2 hour trip to have our buffet breakfast in a tourist restaurant.
• After breakfast we will depart to the community of Phulawasipata (4625 masl), the official starting point of the trek to the mountain of colors. It is here where we will receive all the indications from the tour guide before making the ascent hike of more than 2 hours.
